It's done and I bet you did not think I would finish. I am a happy Tote Bagger now LOL. Thanks Dandelion Quilts for the pattern and the party. Even though I am late in getting it done, I had fun making my new Spring Tote Bag.

Tote Bag Party Update

There are some Tote Bag party people that are always behind the power curve and that's me. But I have quilted on the outside of my bag. I am trying to get it done. Will continue my Tote Bag Party after church this afternoon. Thanks for all of the comments, it is very encouraging. Everyone has done a great job on theirs and I am just sorry I got such a late start.

Tote Bag Sewing Party Progress

Well, I have had interruptions so my progress is not moving very fast. I may have to continue working on it tomorrow. But that is OK. Here's my progress and don't expect too much.

Participating in a Tote Bag Party today with Dandelion Quilts. I am getting started very late, but will try to get something done. Here is my choice of fabrics. I am going to use Dandelion Quilts "Dandy Tote Bag" tutorial.

A Prayer For Asher

On my sidebar I have added a blog "A Prayer For Asher". You can read his story there. His Grandma Britta writes it. Asher is very unique and strong for being 17 months old. I love him deeply and he is my great grandson. He has come through so much in the past year and a half. I am very proud of you Asher.

Binding On Friends Quilt

The binding is on and the "Friends" quilt is done.

Today I quilted a wall hanging I have had in the closet for years. It is called "Friends" and several of us participated in this project. I think there was ten of us and each got enough quilt blocks to make the wall hanging. Now I just have to put the binding on tomorrow. Another UFO done. YEAH!!!

Working on UFO's

have been trying to work on my UFOs. So I made up a huge long list to work on for 2010. So far I have finished my floral elegance machine embroidery blocks and quilted and bound my Road To Dixie Quilt. So now I am moving forward to something else on my list. I have also made an oven mitt on some fabric that I practiced quilting with my new gadget called the Quilt Halo. Here are pictures of what I have done so far.

I'm Back

I'm Back and have spent way to much time on facebook, especially playing games. I probably won't quit playing games, but trying not to play as much. I am going to try working some on this blog. I am currently quilting my Road to Dixie quilt and nearly have the main portion done and then it is on the to the borders. But in the meantime here are some of the projects that I may not have shown here.
My great grandson had to have a brain tumor removed at age 11 months and I made him a doo rag when we though he was going to go through chemo, but as it turns out he is currently going through proton radiation treatments.

It's been A Long Time

It has been a long time since I last posted on my blog. I have had a number of things that took priority. I do hope to do better here now. I finished a small project this past Monday. It is a cheater's preprinted Christmas Holiday Vest. My friend, Mama C, made a vest and that is where I got my inspiration to make mine. Thanks Mama C.



I covered the inside seams and so it is reversible.

Happy Birthday To Trey

Trey had a birthday yesterday and he is a big "1 year old" He had 17 people (includes kids) at his birthday party. All Trey got for his birthday was a shoe. lol His mom and dad did make him a cake. And yes he had presents. He like what this Great Grandma and Grandpa gave him. He loves music and this toy gave him plenty of noises. Happy Birthday Trey. I love you much.

Books I have Read

In between quilting, making totes/purses and our family reunion I have been able to read four books in the past couple of months. I have listed them on my bookshelf that is on the sidebar. 1. Barefoot by Elin Hilderbrand, 2. A Thread of Truth by Marie Bostwick, 3. Pretty Woman by Fern Michaels and Ticket Home by James Michael Pratt. I enjoy reading before going to bed as it helps me to fall asleep.
