Machine Embroidery Quilt

I have finished another project.  This time it is my Molly Mine machine embroidery.  I did the embroidery at my small group retreat a couple of years ago.  It was a lot of fun to do as we swapped fabrics and thread. I stay so far behind in finishing my projects, so I am very happy to have this done.

July Fourth

I have finished my July 4th project, but did not exactly finish it by then.  So I will have it for next year. The backing.

Christmas

I have my challenge fabric done in a quilt.  The small quilt group I belong to does a fat quarter fabric challenge and  we  try to come up with something we make out of it for the next time we have a retreat. We meet for a retreat twice a year. Our retreat this time is the first week in August.  I finished my challenge last night.  The fabric was Christmas red with round peppermint candy on it.  One person brings a fat quarter for each person to make something for the next retreat.  We have six ladies in our  small group and we take turns on who brings the  challenge fabric.  So here is what I came up with,

Happenings

My goodness, it has been awhile since I last posted.  But, with a tornado hitting our community of Bridgecreek, OK and May being so wet with flooding rains, life just got really busy. As for us we are just fine, however, when I drive through  our community it really breaks my heart to see homes gone.  It has been over a month now and debris is not being picked up along the roadsides.  The most  thankful part is no one was killed.
Yesterday I took the Grand Illusion to my local quilt shop to be quilted.  It was just too large for me to do on my domestic machine.  Right now I am finishing up a Patriotic table topper. 
Trying to get it done for tomorrow.  After that, I need to quilt my retreat fabric challenge due the 1st week of August.  I am also doing Bonnie Hunter's leader ender challenge with the tumbler block.  I am going to do it in two colors only.  I have the 3 inch accuquilt tumbler die.  That's about it for now.  Happy July 4th and be safe.

Spring Time.

Grand Illusion Quilt Top

I finally finished my Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion top yesterday.  I kept procrastinating about finishing it, but finally worked on the borders over the weekend.  I am so very glad I finished it.  Loved doing it, but it was a little work and decided I had put too much into it not to finish.  Now I need to press it, make the backing and get it quilted.  Thank you Bonnie Hunter for sharing this with everyone.

Guild BOM

While I was at the Retreat the past few days I finished putting my Guild BOM together. I really like it.

Retreat Next Week

I have my challenge done for the retreat next week. There are 6 of us and in this challenge we had to use 6 fabrics, but we could use others if we wanted to. So here is my challenge I am submitting.

Apple Harvest Quilt

My Apple Harvest quilt is done. I pieced it and Beth Soward of Beth's Quilt Shop in Blanchard, OK quilted it for me. I just love it.
                                                      

Guild BOM blocks

Here are the  last two BOM blocks for the Guild.  Now I still have to do them for me. I think I have an idea on how to set them together, but first I need to go back to Quiltville's Mystery.

Not a whole Lot

This week I had a block  row in the middle of the MQ turned the wrong way in two places, so I had to correct those. Still have to put on the borders. I think when I saw how the quilt was to be, I slowed down.  Not knowing made me do the clues faster.  I will post a picture when I get it finished.  And I have seen this basket many times, so I decided to make it.  I really did not get much done this week.
