Grand Illusion Part 2

Part 2 of Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion MQ came out this morning.  I have done my first block and published the picture on facebook, when I realized my white diamonds were not lined up.  So I am just going to have try harder as far as that goes.  Posting it here also.

Going to my Saturday sewing group tomorrow and hopefully I will get further on this MQ.

Grand Illusion MQ

I did not get too far with my Grand Illusion Mystery quilt blocks as I only have 23 done.  I can work on them before the next clue comes out.  I am enjoying all of the posts and pictures of others and they are all so pretty.  It's a  fun group to be doing the MQ with.

Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt

The long awaited "Grand Illusion" mystery quilt is here and clue #l is out. I am excited right along with everyone that is participating.  Bonnie is wonderful to give us another free MQ.  I did last year's quilt and still need to quilt it.  Thank you Bonnie for sharing so much with us.  Here is my first block of "Grand Illusion".  It's going to be fun.

Blog Problems

Yea, I am back.  I changed emails and everything went wrong.  I could not post on my blog.  I was very upset.  But I kept working at it and hopefully things have straightened out for me.  I am keeping my fingers crossed,  I will posted my projects later.  Just happy to have worked things out.

I finished my Apple Harvest quilt top today.  So now my next step is to quilt it.

Upcoming Retreat Fabric Challenge done

I finished another quilt over last weekend. I rent the longarm at Beth's Quilt Shop in Blanchard. I am not experienced on the longarm, so I did a meandering pattern.

Scrappy Star

This much is done and the star is complete--now for the background
It is not perfect, but most of this scrappy fabric is now gone.

I finished 50 scrappy diamonds for the Guild June project. Now for the sashing.

Apple Slices Done

The apple slices I mentioned in the previous post are now done.  I almost gave up a couple of times as they took what seemed like forever.  I am glad I kept going as I think they will make an interesting border. There are 36 apple slices.  They are paper pieced, but I have a good friend who digitized them for the embroidery machine.  Thank you "good friend". Now on to finish the rest of the quilt.
